Job summary

Maintech Recruitment is seeking experienced contract maintenance engineers for long-term and ad hoc shifts in Portsmouth. You will perform reactive and proactive maintenance in highly automated manufacturing environments, requiring a time-served electrical or multi-skilled background and a minimum Level 3 qualification.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in manufacturing settings, fault-finding on automated systems, and PLC interrogation knowledge.

Qualifications

• Time-served electrical or multi-skilled apprenticeship.
• Minimum City & Guilds, NVQ or BTEC Level 3.
• Strong fault-finding ability on automated machinery.
• PLC interrogation knowledge; basic programming and testing would be a distinct advantage.
• At least 5 years’ experience within manufacturing or highly automated environments maintaining production assets.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive and proactive maintenance across manufacturing environments.
• Support long-term assignments and ad hoc shifts.
• Maintain production assets and troubleshoot automated machinery.
