Job summary

Line Up Aviation and client seek a Stores Assistant on a 6-month contract in the UK aviation sector. Role involves coordinating parts, kits, and tools across active bays to support maintenance, with a strong focus on safety, FOD control, and accurate logging.

Ideal candidates will have experience in industrial/aviation settings, with good organisational skills, ability to lift up to 23 kg, and capability to liaise with engineers and stores staff. BPSS clearance eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Strong safety awareness and tool accountability.
• Clear communication with engineers, stores personnel, and supervisors.
• Two years of referencing will be required along with additional checks.
• Entry-level considered for strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather, stage, and deliver parts, consumables, hardware, and tools to mechanics in active bays during maintenance shifts.
• Organise project kits and ensure hardware packages are complete and assigned to the correct bay or aircraft project.
• Return used, specialized tools to the tool crib and log them per procedures.
• Act as a liaison between parts stores, tool room, and bay floor to minimise engineer downtime.
• Maintain bay housekeeping and control FOD in the workspace.
