Job summary

Elysium Healthcare is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help create and maintain a safe, well-presented environment for residents. You will join a dedicated team, performing maintenance across buildings and facilities, liaising with contractors, and supporting ongoing upkeep to ensure high-quality care.

The role is a 6-month fixed-term contract at The Farndon Unit, with training provided and opportunities for career development within a large healthcare group.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience required.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Good communication with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assure service, buildings, facilities and equipment are maintained and fit for purpose.
• Utilise DIY skills to maintain safety of service users.
• Assist in regular checks and maintenance tasks.
• Assist in repair and maintenance of all buildings.
• Assist in decorating and space upkeep.
• Coordinate with a manager to report faults and defects.
• Participate in a 1-week on-call rota for emergency maintenance.
