Job summary

Village Hotels - Leeds North is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for a part-time, 16-hour-per-week role. You will be the go-to person for fixing issues in guest rooms, gym and pool areas, and public spaces, ensuring smooth operations and a high standard of cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Prior maintenance experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Respond to room faults quickly and politely to minimise guest disruption.
• Run routine checks in Leisure Club areas and fix issues to keep facilities operating smoothly.
• Maintain and clean public areas, liaising with other departments as needed.
• Support the team and contribute to delivering excellent service.

The Role Outline: Your Shift at a Glance

As our Maintenance Assistant, you are the ultimate problem solver for the entire property. One hour you might be fixing a critical issue in a guest room so they can have a faultless stay, and the next you will be ensuring our Leisure Club equipment is operating seamlessly. This is one of the most varied, fast paced roles in the hotel, keeping our public areas looking as fresh as they did on day one.

• The Public Areas: Protecting the brand. You will take pride in the details, ensuring our bustling lobbies, Pub & Grill, and meeting spaces look immaculate and function perfectly.

• The Team Support: Working hand in hand with every other department. You will be a supportive team player who thrives under pressure, helping the wider hotel team deliver a brilliant service.
