Job summary

Hallmark Luxury Care Homes seeks a dedicated Maintenance Assistant to keep our homes safe, welcoming and well-maintained for residents. You’ll handle routine repairs, safety checks and collaborate with care teams to support high-quality living environments.

We value hands-on problem solving, strong safety knowledge and clear communication. A minibus driving ability is desirable. We offer training, competitive pay and a supportive, family-style workplace.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, building, DIY and housekeeping to keep facilities in top condition.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance.
• Clear written and verbal communication with diverse backgrounds.
• Intermediate IT skills (Microsoft Word and email) for admin tasks.
• Driving a minibus.

• Maintenance Experience: Previous experience in a maintenance role or strong handyman skills, coupled with a proactive and can-do attitude to tackle tasks both big and small.
• Health & Safety Knowledge: Good understanding of health and safety regulations, with a commitment to upholding compliance standards to ensure the safety of our residents and team members.
• Communication Skills: Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact warmly and professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• IT Proficiency: Intermediate IT skills, including Microsoft Word and email, to support administrative tasks and communication effectively.
