Job summary

Housing Plus Group is seeking a Cyclical Maintenance Assistant to join the Property Team in Stafford. The role involves hands-on maintenance across our housing stock, assisting skilled operatives and ensuring homes, schemes and communities remain safe, clean and well maintained.

You will help with repairs, transport materials, carry out general labouring duties, and support cleaning tasks. A strong focus on customer service and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience carrying out basic building repairs or maintenance tasks.
• Safe use of hand and power tools.
• Basic health and safety understanding in a maintenance environment.
• Pride in delivering high standards and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Collect materials, tools, and equipment to and from sites.
• Assist operatives with repairs and small building projects.
• Load/unload and move materials safely and efficiently.
• Carry out general labouring and routine maintenance tasks.
• Use hand and power tools for minor repairs.
• Support cleaning services within housing schemes.
• Report defects and safety concerns promptly.
• Work professionally with tenants, colleagues and contractors.
