Job summary

Midway Care Group in Birmingham and the Wider Midlands is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our Estates Team. You will carry out general maintenance tasks and support gardening to keep homes safe and welcoming.

This full-time, permanent role offers a company van with fuel, a company pension scheme, and an induction with ongoing support. Applicants should have maintenance and gardening experience with practical painting and decorating skills and a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance tasks, including basic repairs, painting, and decorating.
• Support with gardening and upkeep of outdoor spaces.
• Assist the Estates Manager with planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
• Help ensure buildings, fixtures, and fittings are maintained to high standards.
• Create a safe, welcoming environment for people we support, their families and visitors.
