Maintenance Assistant (Accommodation Maintenance)

Department: Campus Infrastructure

Salary: Starting from £25,100, rising to £25,733 (inclusive of a market supplement to align with our commitment as a voluntary living wage employer).

Contract Type: Full-Time, Open Ended

The Department of Campus Infrastructure is responsible for maintaining and developing the University's buildings. We are seeking Maintenance Assistants to support planned and unplanned maintenance, including general repairs, minor plumbing, and safety testing in accommodation buildings.

We would like to hear from you if you:

1. Have experience in plumbing, carpentry, painting (qualifications are not essential)
2. Are familiar with and comfortable working in built environments, able to identify and address various maintenance tasks, and keep relevant parties informed
3. Have a flexible approach and are willing to undertake training to enhance your skills
4. Are committed, able to work independently and as part of a team
5. Possess good problem-solving, customer service, and communication skills

Further information

This role is offered on a full-time (36.5 hours/week), permanent basis, Monday-Friday, with options to work with either the on-campus or City maintenance team.
