We have a fantastic new opportunity for a Maintenance Assistant to join our hotel maintenance team at the Crowne Plaza Reading, a 4 Silver Star hotel located at M4 Jct 10. The hotel features 174 spacious bedrooms, a Conference Centre with 8 meeting rooms, extensive Esprit Wellness & Spa facilities, and the Caprice Two AA Rosette restaurant along with Monty's Bar & Lounge.

The hotel has recently undergone a full refurbishment, making it the finest Crowne Plaza Resort Hotel in the UK.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager and Assistant Maintenance Manager, you will assist with all routine maintenance and scheduled works across the hotel, including:

1. Ensuring compliance with Intercontinental Hotels Group brand standards, Fire Life Safety Standards, Energy Efficiency, and other standards.
2. Undertaking preventative maintenance schedules.

Previous pool plant experience will be considered an advantage. You should have good communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing skills. A hotel maintenance background, preferably in a branded hotel environment, is ideal. Candidates should have a stable employment history and positive references.

Hours of work are typically 6 hours per day, including Saturdays from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm, with additional hours to cover holidays. The position offers flexible hours up to 30-35 hours per week.

This vacancy has arisen due to the relocation abroad of the previous long-tenured maintenance assistant.
