Job summary

Away Resorts is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for Tattershall Lakes in Lincolnshire. You will support the Maintenance Manager to keep our accommodation and park in tip-top condition and looking spectacular, performing repairs and routine upkeep on site.

This permanent role is 40 hours per week with full training, a pension scheme, and generous on-park discounts. You’ll work as part of a friendly team within a dynamic holiday environment.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of Health & Safety at work.
• Full UK Driving licence.
• Basic DIY skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Maintenance Manager to keep park facilities in good working order.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks (taps, shelves, TV) and repairs.
• Work with tradespeople when needed to complete tasks.
• Follow health and safety policies and company standards.
• Support maintenance checks on changeover days.

What we are looking for

We need someone who will keep our accommodation, and the holiday park, in tip-top condition and looking spectacular, repairing, maintaining, renewing, and improving everything from the entrance signage to the back fence.

What you'll be doing

As part of our team of holiday heroes, you will help the Maintenance Manager to ensure everything is in good working order. Your work will include:

• Essential maintenance and repair work, such changing taps, fixing shelves and TV.
• Working as part of an experienced team who will assist and support you with tasks you may be unfamiliar with.
• Working to our high standards, exceeding customers' expectations, and complying with Health and Safety legislation and company policies.
• Carrying out maintenance checks and repairs on changeover days, working with other tradespeople when necessary.
• Pretty much anything else that other people can't do!

Guests and team will look to you to fix what's broken and restore order, so you will need to be confident, friendly, and obliging in addition to your practical skills.

Skills, experience, and qualities you'll need

We will train you, but you'll need to have the following skills and experience to apply for this role:

• A basic understanding of Health & Safety at work
• Full UK Driving licence.
• Basic DIY skills
