Job summary

Manpower is recruiting an Electrician / Maintenance Assistant for a part-time role in Sevenoaks, Kent. The position is a 12-month fixed term contract with a pay rate of £14.50 per hour and 15 hours per week, based in a large educational estate.

As part of the Estates & Facilities team, you will perform electrical installations, testing, fault finding, and general maintenance tasks while supporting safety checks and compliance across site operations.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• Experience in electrical installation, testing, and fault diagnosis.
• Good health and safety knowledge.
• Willingness to support a variety of site tasks.
• Reliable and able to work independently.
• Full UK Driving Licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installations, maintenance, testing, and fault-finding.
• Support electrical safety checks and emergency lighting checks.
• Undertake PAT testing and routine electrical maintenance.
• General maintenance tasks including repairs, decorating, plumbing, and basic carpentry.
• Support fire safety checks, building inspections, and health & safety compliance activities.
• Assist with site events, building upkeep, and seasonal maintenance tasks.
• Respond to reactive maintenance issues and support planned maintenance programmes.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified electrician looking for a part-time role where they can combine electrical expertise with wider maintenance responsibilities across a large and diverse estate.

Working within the Estates & Facilities team, you will help ensure the site's buildings, facilities, and infrastructure remain safe, compliant, and well-maintained, supporting a positive environment for staff, students, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
