Job summary

Ivy Gate Lodge Care Home is a modern, purpose built 68 bed care home in Southport, Merseyside, delivering high quality residential, nursing, dementia and respite care within a warm, supportive and person centred environment.

As Maintenance Assistant, you will carry out a wide range of tasks across the building and grounds, including basic repairs, electrical checks, installations and general upkeep, helping keep equipment and systems safe and functioning.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in maintenance, facilities or a similar role.
• Basic knowledge of general repairs, electrical and building maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Proactive, practical approach; reliable and organised.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance tasks across the building and grounds.
• Perform repairs, basic electrical checks, installations and upkeep.
• Ensure equipment and systems are safe and functioning.

Ivy Gate Lodge Care Home is a modern, purpose built 68 bed care home in Southport, Merseyside, delivering high quality residential, nursing, dementia and respite care within a warm, supportive and person centred environment.

Maintenance Assistant Contract £12.80 per hour Contracted to 40 hours per week Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract) Role Overview As Maintenance Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the home remains safe, well maintained and comfortable at all times.

This is a hands on and varied role where your practical skills and attention to detail will have a direct impact on the environment and daily experience.

You will carry out a wide range of maintenance tasks across the building and grounds, including repairs, basic electrical checks, installations and general upkeep.

You will ensure equipment and systems are working safely and efficiently, responding promptly to issues and supporting planned maintenance.

Working independently and alongside the wider team, you will follow health and safety procedures, support compliance checks and help maintain a well organised, safe and welcoming environment.

What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience in maintenance, facilities or a similar role
