Job summary

Malmaison Hotels in Poole is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to take responsibility for the general maintenance of the property and the management of the maintenance team. You will ensure daily tasks and preventative schedules are completed on time with attention to detail and safety.

You will liaise with contractors, meet deadlines, and support internal development within Hotel du Vin Poole. The role offers a fixed-term contract and a competitive hourly rate of £13.95 for 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hotel maintenance department is required.
• Knowledge of electrics and health and safety is beneficial.
• Able to liaise with contractors and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general upkeep of the property and its facilities.
• Proactively complete daily tasks and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Manage maintenance team and ensure guest expectations are met.

Taking responsibility for the general maintenance of the property, upkeep of its facilities and the management of the maintenance team, as Maintenance Assistant you are there to ensure that jobs are completed efficiently to ensure that the guest expectations are met during their stay. You will be required to proactively complete the daily job list and preventative maintenance schedules with an eye for detail and a passion for fixing things! You must be able to work to deadlines, be confident in liaising with contractors and taking responsibility for health and safety. You must be organised, an good communicator, and have excellent attention to detail. Experience of working in a maintenance department of a similar quality hotel is required and knowledge of electrics and health and safety are beneficial.
