Job summary

Ramsay Renacres Hospital, part of Ramsay Health Care UK, is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the Engineering Maintenance team. The role covers planned preventative maintenance, reactive works, and on-call duties within a busy hospital environment near Ormskirk.

You will review fault logs, carry out repairs, liaise with contractors, and help ensure high standards of safety and service across the site. The role requires teamwork, initiative, and strong communication.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure planned preventative maintenance and reactive works.
  • Assist Engineering Maintenance team and provide breakdown support.

  • Liaise with internal/external customers and contractors.
  • On-call cover every 3 weeks.

Maintenance Assistant

Location - Ramsay Renacres Hospital

Full Time - 37.5hrs per week (On Call 1 week in 3)

Ramsay Renacres Hospital is part of Ramsay Health Care UK, one of the leading independent healthcare providers in England. The hospital opened in 1987 and is located just outside of Ormskirk, it has built an excellent reputation for delivering high quality healthcare for patients with health insurance, patients who are self-funding treatment or NHS patients exercising choice through the e-referral system.

The role
  • Ensure legal compliance through planned preventative maintenance and reactive works across sites.
  • The assisting of Engineering Maintenance team and breakdown support to the hospitals
  • Review fault logs and carry out remedial repairs
  • Maintain general upkeep of the hospital and grounds
  • Liaise regularly with internal and external customers.
  • Be available for on call cover every 3 weeks.
  • To liaise with Contractors and sign permits for minor repair and replacement works.
  • Support Portering department if required
