Job summary

South Lodge, part of the Exclusive Collection, seeks a Maintenance professional for a 6-month fixed-term contract to keep hotel facilities safe and fully operational. You will join the Maintenance and Hotel teams, performing preventative tasks and responding to emergencies to ensure minimal disruption for guests and staff.

Role requires basic maintenance, plumbing/electrical skills, and a full UK/EU driving licence.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge and understanding of general maintenance including plumbing and electrical skills.
• Basic computer skills including sending emails, Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Punctual and excellent time keeping.
• A good understanding of H&S including risk assessments.
• A basic understanding of Fire safety.
• A full UK / European driving licence.
• Smart / clean appearance.
• First aid certificate.
• Attention to Detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and general (seasonal) maintenance to keep buildings well looked after (e.g., painting, gutters, door-oiling, locks).
• Perform emergency maintenance to minimise disruption and damage to the hotel and guests.
• Work as part of the wider Maintenance and Hotel teams with professional conduct and communication.
• Adhere to safe working practices under Health and Safety guidelines applicable to the workplace.
• Uphold the Exclusive Collection values and present a professional image at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and general (seasonal) maintenance in order to ensure the buildings are well looked after i.e. painting, gutters, door-oiling, locks etc.
• Perform emergency maintenance responding appropriately to the situation to ensure minimum disruption/damage to the hotel / guests (i.e. water leaks, lack of water pressure, toilets blocked, taps not working, showers not working etc).
• To work as part of the wider Maintenance and Hotel teams ensuring professional conduct and communication at all times.
• To be aware of and comply with safe working practices as laid down under the Health and Safety Act as applicable to your place of work. This will include your awareness of any specific hazards at your work place.
• Display a professional image of Exclusive Collection by delivering the company values and demonstrating the courtesy standards and non negotiables at all times.
