The Caledonian Edinburgh, part of Klarent Hospitality Limited, seeks a Maintenance Assistant to ensure guest rooms and public areas are safe and fully operational. You will support daily maintenance across the hotel and collaborate with Engineering to uphold health, safety and environmental standards.

Ideal candidates are practical, reliable and proactive, with a strong team spirit, calm under pressure and a meticulous eye for high workmanship standards.

Behind every seamless luxury experience is a safe, immaculately maintained environment. We are seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the upkeep of our iconic hotel, ensuring all guest and back of house areas operate safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

The Person:

• Practical, reliable and proactive in approach

The Role:

• Support daily maintenance operations across the hotel
• Ensure guest rooms and public areas are safe and fully operational
• Minimise guest impact through efficient, discreet maintenance work
• Uphold health, safety and environmental standards
• Work collaboratively with Engineering and wider hotel teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete planned and reactive maintenance tasks efficiently
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records
• Carry out basic repairs, inspections and safety checks
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest or operational issues
• Adhere to grooming, security and sustainability procedures.
