Job summary

The Forest of Arden Hotel & Country Club in Birmingham is seeking a hands-on maintenance technician to carry out all hotel maintenance tasks, covering plumbing, electrical work, and decorating to group standards. You will work with other departments to minimise disruption to guests and support audits and stock checks.

The role emphasizes change, attention to detail, and reliability, with a strong focus on health and safety, teamwork, and the ability to prioritise workload.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance-related work within the hotel in a timely fashion, covering reactive and planned preventative tasks.
• Support property audits and record benchmarking data (e.g., meter readings).
• Work with the maintenance manager to monitor stock levels and coordinate with other departments to minimise guest disruption.

The Forest of Arden Hotel and Country Club is set in peaceful Warwickshire countryside and is well placed for access to Birmingham, Coventry, and other major centres. Birmingham Airport, the National Exhibition Centre and motorway links to the M6 and M42 are all within a few miles of the hotel.

Your role

Completing all maintenance-related work within the hotel in a timely fashion; you’ll be responsible for making sure the property is consistently maintained to group standards and any issues are addressed in a timely manner. The role will cover both reactive and planned preventative work and involve working closely with all hotel departments to ensure minimum disruption to guests. You’ll support property audits, record benchmarking data such as meter readings and work with the maintenance manager to monitor relevant stock levels.
The ideal person for this role will be enthusiastic about change, focused on details and trusting.

• Knowledge and experience of plumbing, electrics and decorating are highly important to this role, alongside being enthusiastic, motivated and able to work well under pressure;
• Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulation;
