Job summary

Signature Senior Lifestyle in Ascot is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to maintain, repair and improve our luxury care home. You will handle maintenance requests, provide preventative improvements, and ensure accurate records while following health and safety guidelines to minimise disruption for residents.

The role requires CSCS, a valid driving license, and training in PAT testing, manual handling, asbestos awareness, and COSHH, with strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Full, clean driving license and CSCS certification.

• Strong spoken and written English skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and improve the home while minimizing disruption to residents.

Job description

We want your eye for detail and practical skills to keep our luxury care and nursing home in Ascot as functional as it is beautiful, when you join Signature Senior Lifestyle as a Maintenance Assistant. What you will do As our Maintenance Assistant, you'll be the safe pair of hands we rely on to maintain, repair and improve our home. You'll use your problem-solving skills to carry out maintenance requests, and you'll be able to offer advice on preventative maintenance measures and improvements. You'll be responsible for PAT testing electrical equipment, and ensuring all maintenance records are accurate and up to date. It goes without saying that you'll do all of this within health & safety guidelines to reduce risks. You'll also complete work in a timely manner to minimise any inconvenience to residents.

• From £13.45 per hour
• Shift times: 09.00-17.30. Weekend on call requirement - required occassionally
• Full time - 40 hours per week
• Up to 30 days annual leave, plus 8 bank holidays, depending on length of service
