Job summary

Signature Senior Lifestyle is seeking a Maintenance Assistant at our Ascot home. You will maintain, repair and improve the facility, handling maintenance requests and advising on preventative measures while upholding health and safety guidelines.

You will also be responsible for PAT testing and keeping maintenance records up to date. The role offers a structured shift pattern and benefits to support staff wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal English.

Job description

We want your eye for detail and practical skills to keep our luxury care and nursing home in Ascot as functional as it is beautiful, when you join Signature Senior Lifestyle as a Maintenance Assistant.

What you will do

As our Maintenance Assistant, you’ll be the safe pair of hands we rely on to maintain, repair and improve our home. You’ll use your problem-solving skills to carry out maintenance requests, and you’ll be able to offer advice on preventative maintenance measures and improvements. You’ll be responsible for PAT testing electrical equipment, and ensuring all maintenance records are accurate and up to date.

It goes without saying that you’ll do all of this within health & safety guidelines to reduce risks. You’ll also complete work in a timely manner to minimise any inconvenience to residents.

What Signature offer

• From £13.45 per hour
• Shift times: 09.00-17.30. Weekend on call requirement - required occassionally
• Full time - 40 hours per week

A natural problem solver, as well as excellent written and verbal English, basic computer skills, CSCS certificate and a full, clean driving license, training in manual handling, PAT testing, asbestos awareness, first aid, and fire safety, plus an understanding of COSHH regulations are all a big advantage.
