Job summary

Exemplar Health Care’s Scotia Heights care home in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a part-time Maintenance Technician to keep the home safe, welcoming and well presented. You’ll perform general maintenance, decorating, gardening, plumbing and tiling to ensure everything works and looks its best for residents, staff and visitors.

With our induction, buddy system and ongoing training, you’ll join a team that values fun, integrity, responsiveness, success and teamwork, while holding a UK driving licence

Qualifications

• Broad range of maintenance skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation/regulations.

Contract type: Part time, 20 hours per week, Must hold a full, valid UK driving licence, as driving the home's vehicles will form part of the role and must be over the age of 25 (for insurance purposes)

About The Role

Our Maintenance Technician plays a key role in ensuring that the fabrics, fittings, fixtures and equipment in the home are in good condition.

No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• general maintenance
• decorating
• gardening
• plumbing
• tiling
• carrying out regular risk assessments, audits and checks.
