Kier Group plc is seeking a Mainslaying Operations Manager to join the IMRDS Capital Works team in Northampton. You will lead the Site Managers to deliver the Capital Mains Renewal Program safely, on time and within budget, while working with Design & Engineering.

You'll drive continuous improvement, ensure health and safety compliance, and collaborate with Engineers, Network Partners and stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that maintain water quality and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction or utility sector with strong management capabilities.
• Full driving licence; NRSWA Supervisors, SMSTS (or equivalent); water hygiene qualifications.
• CDM management experience including Construction Phase Plan.

We're looking for a Mainslaying Operations Manager to join our IMRDS Capital Works team based in Northampton. Join our team as a Mainslaying Operations Manager and take the lead in overseeing the delivery of our Capital Mains Renewal Program across the region. Working alongside our Design & Engineering Team, you'll guide a talented team of Site Managers to deliver schemes safely, within budget, and on time. This is an opportunity to make a real impact, driving efficiency improvements whilst maintaining the highest standards of water quality, workmanship, and sustainability. You'll collaborate closely with Engineers, Network Partners, and stakeholders, creating innovative solutions and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Mainslaying Operations Manager, you'll be working within the IMRDS Capital Works team, supporting them in delivering the Capital Mains Renewal Program safely and efficiently. Your day to day will include:

• Leading and developing a high-performing team of Site Managers, providing mentoring and support
• Overseeing health and safety management, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and standards
• Managing programme delivery to ensure works are completed safely, on time, and within budget
• Collaborating with Engineers, Network Partners, and stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities
• Driving continual improvement and innovation across all schemes, sharing best practice with the wider team

Have demonstrable experience in the construction or utility sector with strong management capabilities

• Hold a Full driving licence along with NRSWA Supervisors, SMSTS (or equivalent), and relevant water hygiene qualifications
• Bring commercial awareness and the ability to balance solution requirements with service delivery
• Have experience in CDM management, including producing Construction Phase Plan
