Mainframe Automation & Batch Scheduling Analyst
Remote with occasional days in the office
Exalto Consulting is working with a well established UK retail business to appoint an experienced Automation & Batch Scheduling Analyst.
This organisation operates large scale, business critical systems where reliable processing and system stability are essential to day to day operations.
This is a hands on technical role focused on maintaining and improving the automation and batch environments that sit at the heart of core services. You will join a team responsible for ensuring systems run efficiently, consistently, and with minimal disruption.
You will take ownership of automation, workload scheduling, and batch processing activities within a mainframe environment. A key part of the role is the use of IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS) to design, manage and optimise complex batch workflows.
This includes developing scripts, managing job schedules, and resolving issues to maintain smooth and reliable operations.
Your work will ensure critical processes run on time, data is handled accurately, and operational risks are minimised.
If you are looking for a role where your expertise in IWS and mainframe automation directly supports core operations, and where your work has clear and measurable impact, we would be pleased to hear from you.
