Royal Mail Group is hiring a Mail Sorter for the Warrington Mail Centre. The role is fixed-term for 12 months, part-time at 25 hours per week, with weekend shifts (Saturday 18:00–06:00 and Sunday 18:00–07:00).
You’ll be on your feet in a fast-paced warehouse environment, sorting mail, loading and unloading, and operating machinery as needed. The position involves handling mail with care and efficiency to support continuous operation, with a social and nationwide impact.

It's a shift like no other centre you will cover various indoor roles in a warehouse environment. On your feet and keeping up the pace. Changing from one task to another along the sorting chain, you could be unloading mail from vans, moving it around in trolleys, sorting parcels and letters manually or operating machinery. A mail centre can process over a million items in a shift and you'll be a valuable part of making that happen. And you take it in your stride. Please note: For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full-time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.
As a Mail Sorter, you're expected to handle election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
