We are looking for a Magnet Engineer/Senior/Principal to join our specialist team developing the next generation of superconducting magnets used in MRI scanners. This role is ideal for someone with a strong physics background-particularly electromagnetism, superconductivity, applied or experimental physics-and a passion for turning complex scientific principles into high-impact, real-world products.
You’ll be part of a collaborative and supportive engineering group of around 10-15 experts, working across the full lifecycle of magnet development. You’ll contribute directly to the design, build and optimisation of high-performance superconducting magnet systems that make a genuine difference to patients’ lives worldwide.
This role will initially be based at our Eynsham site before being permanently located at our new, £250m state of the art Bicester facility. Hybrid working is available, with three days per week onsite.
