Job summary

Nottingham Forest Football Club is seeking enthusiastic coaches to join the Academy Coaching team on a casual, sessional basis at The Nigel Doughty Academy in Nottingham. You will help develop schoolboy players, contribute to their physical and psychosocial growth, and support a culture of excellence within our Category 1 Coaching Department.

The role requires UEFA C Licence and Emergency First Aid, with CPD participation and ongoing qualification updates encouraged.

Qualifications

  • UEFA C Licence is required.
  • Emergency First Aid knowledge is required.
  • Experience with academy/centre of excellence age groups preferred.
  • UEFA B Licence and FA Youth Award desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality coaching to develop players who are creative and outplay opponents.
  • Prepare and organise training sessions and maintain a safe, clean playing environment.
  • Communicate training details to players and parents.
  • Model appropriate behaviour and uphold club standards.
  • Participate in CPD and pursue additional relevant qualifications.
  • Assist with scouting and player auditing as needed.

Reporting to:Foundation Phase Manager

About the Role

We are looking for passionate and dynamic coaches to join our Category 1 Coaching Department. This role will be responsible for the technical development and assist in the physical, and psychosocial development of the Academy schoolboy players within Nottingham Forest Football Club. The role will be on an ad-hoc engagement/sessional basis. This is a great opportunity to join NFFC at an exciting time and be part of a successful Club that is passionate about its people.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Provide quality coaching to develop players who are creative and align to our objective of outplaying the opposition
  • Full preparation for training and demonstrate care for the working environment
  • Cleaning up and creating an aesthetically pleasing playing environment
  • Ensure all players and parents are informed of details regarding training
  • Act at all times in a manner appropriate of the Club and ensure that all players in your charge also act in an appropriate fashion
  • Promptly communicate all important information, e.g., late arrivals, non‑attendance Identify players of potential with the scope of earmarking them for a potential Academy trial
  • Take part in Continued Professional Development (CPD) activities, both inside and outside the Club, to improve the quality of your coaching and overall work, e.g., ensuring all qualifications are up to date and additional, relevant qualifications are undertaken when appropriate
  • Where necessary and if available take part in the scouting of players.
  • Complete all the necessary administration required for player auditing purposes
What are we looking for
  • UEFA C Licence.

  • Previous experience working with these age groups preferably in an Academy or Centre of Excellence
  • UEFA B Licencen and FA Youth Award (Desirable)
