Point72 is seeking a Macro Analyst on the Market Intelligence team to leverage alternative data and macro context for Europe, collaborating with data scientists and engineers to deliver actionable insights to investment professionals.

The role involves analyzing multiple data sources, producing written reports and visualizations, and interacting with investment teams to help inform decisions, with emphasis on compliance and cross-functional work.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or advanced degree with academic success
• 1–5 years in macro/economics/investment research or consulting
• Proficiency with coding (SQL, Python) and able to handle live technical screens
• Experience modelling and analysing time series data in macroeconomic or quantitative research
• Passion for finance, research, and using data to solve problems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret alternative data to develop subject-matter expertise
• Produce research for internal consumption across reports, feeds, and visualizations
• Interact with investment professionals to learn macro investment processes
• Collaborate with Data Sourcing, Data Science, Data Engineering, and Compliance to source and draw value from data assets
