Job summary

JDR Recruitment is seeking a Machining Technician for a client in the Taunton area. The role offers 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with an immediate start and options for temporary-to-permanent or permanent contracts.

Responsibilities include operating machinery to cut, shape and finish precision components, mounting and cleaning parts, inspecting finished work against drawings, and maintaining a clean, safe working environment in line with health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Engineering background
• Previous machining experience desirable
• Level 2/3 engineering qualification preferred
• Ability to follow engineering drawings and work instructions or a willingness to learn
• Good attention to detail and a positive attitude
• An understanding of quality, Health & Safety and production standards
• A willingness to learn and develop practical skills within a small team

Job description

We are looking for a Machining Technician to join our growing client in the Taunton area.

Trainee £12.71 - £13.31 per hour - Level 2/3 Engineering

Technician £13.69 - £14.00 per hour - Previous machining experience & level 2/3 Engineering

Monday to Friday 8am-4pm (35 hours per week)

Immediate start

Temporary to Permanent contract or Permanent contract.
