Job summary

MTrec Recruitment is seeking an experienced Estimator for a permanent role with a machining specialist. You will report to the Sales Director and support a busy production team, using EFACS ERP to calculate job costs and prepare quotes.

The ideal candidate has hands-on machining estimating experience, strong Excel and Word skills, and a meticulous approach to cost, delivery, and quality. This role offers a structured environment and opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

• Estimating experience in a machining environment.
• Ability to interpret sketches and drawings to determine task times.
• Experience sourcing materials and subcontract prices.
• Strong Excel and Word skills with ERP experience.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Sales Director and support a busy production team.
• Calculate job costs using the company ERP system EFACS.
• Use sketches and drawings to determine task times in a machine shop.
• Collate calculations into complete repair quotes and quotes for customers.
• Maintain records of calculations in a database and improve efficiency.
