Cenheard Limited in Harrogate is seeking a Senior Machinery Safety Consultant to drive high-level functional safety and compliance projects. You will own Phase 1 design risk assessments, sign off on TCF, and lead client-facing UKCA/CE certification efforts, while mentoring staff and upholding Cenheard's ISO 9001 QMS.

The role requires an engineering background (apprenticeship or Level 4 HNC/HND/degree) and CMSE or TÜV Functional Safety certifications, with strong knowledge of ISO standards and

Qualifications

• Time-served engineering apprenticeship or Level 4 HNC/HND / Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Control, Systems, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Certified Machinery Safety Expert (CMSE) or TÜV Functional Safety Engineer / Expert certification.
• Extensive knowledge of BS EN ISO 12100, BS EN ISO 13849-1/-2, BS EN 60204-1, BS EN ISO 14120, BS EN ISO 13857, BS EN ISO 13855, and UK Machinery Regulations.

Responsabilités

• Lead Phase 1 design risk assessments and functional safety specifications.
• Publish TCF sign-off authority and oversee UKCA/CE compliance.
• Mentor junior machinery safety consultants within the ISO 9001 QMS framework.
• Lead client-facing compliance projects from scoping to final certification.
• Perform HAZOP, DRA, SRS, and SRP/CS reviews; verify safety circuits and fault conditions.
