Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is helping a well‑established safety and machinery compliance specialist in Macclesfield recruit a Safety Engineer (Machinery). You will take autonomy on inspections, risk assessments and regulatory advice for UKCA/CE compliance.

You'll travel internationally as needed, work 40 hours a week, and benefit from a generous package including a company bonus, training, progression, car allowance, 33 days holiday and private medical care.

Are you a Safety Engineer with hands‑on machinery compliance experience, looking to join a well‑established industry specialist where you will work on varied projects and a diverse range of complex machinery as you become a leading technical authority within the business?

In this role, you will be the Senior Engineer responsible for the inspection, risk and conformity assessments of a wide range of machinery, ensuring compliance with UKCA and CE marking, industry regulations, standards, and legislation. You prepare, review and document technical files, advice manufacturers on machinery safety and design compliance, and undertake regular UK site visits, with opportunities for international travel.
