An established industry player is seeking a Machinery Maintenance Technician to join their innovative team. This role involves maintaining and repairing advanced manufacturing equipment, including CNC lathes and milling machines, while ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Job Title: Machinery Maintenance Technician
Reporting to: Maintenance Manager
Shift Pattern: Days (with possibility of overtime)

Our customers include the top motorsports racing series including Formula One, Le Mans, IndyCar and NASCAR and we also supply transmissions for the most exclusive high-performance cars in the world. We are at the forefront of a once-in-a-generation opportunity as the automotive industry transitions from internal combustion to electric and hybrid and our experienced and dedicated teams are using the latest cutting-edge technology to achieve this transition.
Carry out maintenance and repair to manufacturing plant including CNC lathes, milling machines & grinding equipment. Where required, liaise with OEM suppliers and specialist contractors to diagnose critical machine faults, spares and service requirements. Knowledge of chillers, LEVs, conveyors and other process related equipment an advantage. Carry out contractor management including reviewing RAMS, issuing permits and monitoring work being carried out on site. Identify and implement improvements to plant and process. Complete all documentation recorded on paper & electronic based systems to an auditable standard. Carry out duties following Xtrac safety policies and procedures. Where required, carry out an investigation of safety events. Where required, introduce and review maintenance work instructions, risk assessments and equipment maintenance requirements. Support and participate in Xtrac workshops including safety initiatives, continuous improvements, TPM etc.
Ideally multi-skilled with experience in the automotive (or a similar) industry. Mechatronics qualified an advantage. HNC/ONC/C&G/apprenticeship in engineering related subject. IOSH or relevant safety qualification. Able to work safely on own or as part of a team in a manufacturing environment, complying with company policies and procedures. A good understanding of machinery safety systems – estop circuits, guard interlocks etc. Able to read engineering drawings / circuit diagrams. Support the facilities department and work overtime when required.
