Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is recruiting a Machine Tool Service Engineer (Lathes) to service, maintain and install CNC lathes across the UK. You will diagnose electrical faults and become proficient with complex control systems.

The role offers a 40-hour week, occasional overnight stays, funded training in Spain, and opportunities to cover international subsidiaries, with a competitive salary of £55,000–£60,000 plus a company car.

Qualifications

Machine Tool Service Engineer (Lathes)

Are you a Machine Tool Service Engineer with knowledge of electrically diagnosing faults on Lathes looking for a Southern England patch working for an OEM that can offer excellent work/life balance with no overtime requirements?

Do you want to feel valued, being seen and respected as a technical expert whilst not having to work excessive hours every week?

In this role you will be working around the UK servicing, maintaining, repairing and installing state-of-the-art CNC Lathes. You will be trained to become fully familiar with complex control systems, pneumatic and hydraulic actuators and fault-finding. The work week is 40 hours, and you'll have time off in leu for any time worked over this. The company supports it's engineers through structured development and yearly appraisals.

This company design and manufacture highly complex CNC machines with over 700 installed across the UK. They pride themselves on their innovation and excellent OEM support which you will be a part of.
