Articulate and enthusiastic field service engineer required with proven experience of working on highest precision machine tools and special purpose machinery.Our established client specializes in the supply of precision CNC-controlled special purpose machinery for customers throughout the UK. Due to continued success and strategic growth, they are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Machine Tool Service Engineer to join their professional team.
The company, a blue-chip aerospace-approved supplier with a demonstration and training facility, also supplies filtration and cooling systems. They are looking for a multi-skilled machine tool field service professional with experience in mechanics, hydraulics, electronics, and machine control software to perform planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs on equipment at customer sites across the UK.
The role involves maintaining and servicing high-precision 5-axis tool and cutter grinding machines. The successful candidate will also identify potential business opportunities, referring service contract opportunities or new machine sales to the sales team, and will benefit from an attractive commission scheme on new revenue generated.
After initial training in Switzerland, the candidate will assist in selling and demonstrating precision machining solutions, including tool and cutter grinding machines, and undertake CNC programming activities. Experience with MU, Schneeberger, Palmary, Dama, Joen-Lih, Wimmer, Dedtru, and Schilling equipment is advantageous.
Requirements include at least 5 years of experience in a precision machine tool service environment, a full clean UK driving license, and qualification in a relevant engineering discipline. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential for this customer-facing role.
