Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting a Machine Setter in West Bromwich to support our client in manufacturing. You will set up and operate machinery to meet production drawings and specs, ensuring conduits are produced to required standards.

You will lead and support a team, promoting quality, productivity and safety, with rotating shifts 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00, and a day shift option. The role offers a competitive hourly rate and a 22% shift allowance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Machine Setter within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with production machinery.
• Ability to lead and support a team effectively.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• A proactive and reliable approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machinery to meet production requirements.
• Ensure products are manufactured in line with drawings and specifications.
• Support the efficient day-to-day running of the department.
• Provide guidance and support to team members.
• Monitor quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
• Maintain a safe and organised working environment.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving machine-related issues.
