Job summary

Valeo Foods UK is seeking a hands-on Machine Operator for the KETTLE line. The role covers 3 on, 3 off days (7am–7pm) and 3 on, 4 off nights (7pm–7am).

The successful candidate will run and monitor packaging equipment, ensuring safety, quality and efficiency while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. You’ll contribute to high-quality outputs, maintain product safety standards, and collaborate with the team to minimise downtime and waste.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or hands-on environments.
• Experience operating machinery or production equipment.
• Understanding safety procedures and food hygiene requirements.
• Ability to identify and solve production issues.
• Ability to follow work instructions and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and optimise production and packing equipment to meet production targets.
• Make adjustments to machinery and settings to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues and know when to elevate.
• Monitor performance, quality, waste and downtime and take action as needed.
• Carry out safety, quality, GMP and housekeeping checks per site procedures.
