Job summary

Greencore, Leeds site, is hiring a Machine Operator to ensure the safe and efficient running of production assets. You will work closely with Line Support, Hygiene, Shift Managers and Engineering to maintain equipment and quality standards on rotating day/night shifts.

The role requires strong English communication, machinery troubleshooting experience, and a background in food manufacturing. Training provided; join a team focused on quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of both spoken & written English.
• Experience troubleshooting and maintenance on factory machinery.
• Experience working within a food manufacturing environment.
• Able to work both day and night shifts as the role involves rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and monitor machinery and assets, ensuring safe operation.
• Resolve mechanical and procedural issues on the line.
• Complete and sign off on quality documentation.
• Adhere to good manufacturing practices (GMP).
• Improve line efficiency by interpreting production plans and managing product, equipment, and manning needs.
• Consider health, safety, environmental and quality implications in decisions.
• Support training and personal development initiatives.
• Check critical control points for product safety and quality and implement corrective actions.
