Job summary

Syntech Recruitment Ltd is seeking Machine Operators for a well-established Camberley manufacturing site in Surrey. Day or Night shifts offer competitive pay and regular hours with progression opportunities.

You will operate moulding presses, monitor processes and ensure quality and safety standards. Full training is provided; prior experience is preferred but not essential. Night shifts carry a higher rate and longer weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience with rubber moulding, compression moulding or press machinery advantageous.
• Able to follow production instructions and manufacturing procedures.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Strong awareness of workplace health and safety.
• Reliable, punctual and comfortable working in a hands-on environment.
• Willingness to learn new machinery and manufacturing processes.
• Physically capable of standing for extended periods and undertaking manual handling duties.
• Night shift applicants must be available for initial daytime training for up to 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Operate moulding presses and manufacturing machinery safely and efficiently.
• Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards are maintained.
• Identify and report machine faults, leaks or production issues.
• Follow manufacturing instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Complete production paperwork and machine control documentation.
• Inspect manufactured components to ensure quality requirements are met.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Ensure materials, tooling and finished products are stored correctly.
• Work in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 quality procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and other production departments when required.

Machine Operator – Days or Nights

Location: Camberley, Surrey
Salary: £26,436 – £36,349 per annum (depending on shift)
Hourly Rate: £12.71 Days | £15.89 Nights
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Shifts Available: Days or Nights

The Opportunity

Syntech Recruitment are currently recruiting for Machine Operators to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Camberley, Surrey.

We have opportunities available on both day and night shifts, offering competitive rates of pay, consistent working patterns and long-term career opportunities within a specialist manufacturing environment.

The successful candidates will be responsible for operating moulding presses and production machinery, monitoring manufacturing processes and ensuring components are manufactured to the required quality and safety standards.

Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience would be advantageous, although full training will be provided.

Salary & Working Hours

Day Shift – £26,436 per annum

• £12.71 per hour
• Monday–Thursday: 7:00am–4:30pm (45-minute lunch)
• Friday: 7:00am–12:00pm
• Early finish every Friday
• Fixed daytime working hours

Night Shift – £36,349 per annum

• £15.89 per hour (including 25% shift allowance)
• Monday–Thursday: 7:00pm–7:00am
• One-hour lunch break per shift
• 44 paid hours per week
• Three nights off every week
• Initial day shift training for up to 6 months before moving onto nights

Machine Operator Responsibilities
