This role will work within or Fabrication Team to identify, locate, transact and deliver components to internal customers and outside processes to ensure they can meet their planned start and completion dates.

Key accountabilities

1. Managing own time to ensure tasks are completed to plan.
2. Identify and work with others to resolve inadequate or unclear manufacturing/engineering information.
3. Ensure quality standards and factory housekeeping is of the highest standard.
4. Ensure defective work is not passed from the cell, it is recorded to company procedures and root cause analysis is used to firstly contain and correct the issue, then to put in place robust procedures to prevent reoccurance.
5. Ensure all required documentation is completed correctly and on time.
6. Ensure that the company's Quality, Health Safety & Environmental policies and procedures are constantly adhered to.
7. Ensure all products are produced and delivered to the customers' requirements.
8. Audit product and processes to ensure product is delivered against the internal customer requirements in a safe and timely manner.
9. Identify and implement continuous improvement activities.

Effective and regular communication between manufacturing departmental members is crucial. In addition, the post holder when required must engage in regular communication with:

• CNC Programming
• Switchgear Applications Engineering
• Quality, Health & Safety and Environment
• Systems Applications Engineering
• Sales Applications Engineering/ 3rd Party Internal Sales Engineering
• Project Managers
• Switchgear Assembly

Education and Experience

• Ideally NVQ level 3 in a mechanical fitting or assembly discipline or Mechanical Engineering ONC (or equivalent)
• A minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing metalwork role
• Office software package competent and experience with Oracle ERP systems
