Job summary

Rubicon Recruitment Agency currently has a permanent Machine Operator / Production Operative position in Yeovil. The role involves turning sheet metal and assembling products on a range of machinery, with rotating shifts and day shifts available, and overtime to boost earnings.

You will set up and operate press brakes, CNC routers and lasers, read technical drawings, and ensure quality with precise measurements and documentation.

Machine Operator / Production Operative | Yeovil | Up to £15.26 per hour | Permanent

Earn up to £15.26 per hour turning raw sheet metal into precise, finished parts, or assembling quality products to an exacting standard.
Two permanent, hands-on roles in Yeovil, with rotating shifts and day shifts available.

• Operating press brakes, CNC routers or lasers in an engineering or manufacturing environment (Machine Operator)
• Experience on factory production lines, in assembly or in quality control within manufacturing (Production Operative)
• Confidence using verniers, protractors, squares, tape measures and hand tools
• Reading technical drawings, with nesting software, Microsoft 365, Sage or Cim50 knowledge an advantage
• A reliable, conscientious approach and a strong eye for detail
• The physical stamina and mobility to stand for long periods and handle materials safely
