Job summary

PE Global International is recruiting a Machine Operator for a leading multi-national Technology client based in Aycliffe, United Kingdom. The role involves operating production machines, setting up, loading materials, and ensuring product quality, across three shifts.

The position is a 6‑month contract, paying £17.84/hour PAYE with overtime at 1.5x and 2x. You will work 39 hours per week, 8am–8pm, Monday to Friday; shift flexibility is required. Visa status must permit work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Flexibility with shift work.
• Good mechanical aptitude and skills are required.
• Basic data entry and computer proficiency preferred.
• Safety conscious and able to learn new tasks.
• Team player with production/shift experience.

PE Global is currently recruiting for a Machine Operator for a leading multi-national Technology client based in Aycliffe.

This is an initial 6 months contract position.

Pay rate: £17.84/hour PAYE

OT1.5: £25.25

OT2: £32.67

39 hours per week.

Hours between 8am & 8pm Mon-Fri

Flexibility with shift work required, 3 shift to cover.

Duties of the role/Responsibilities

• Works with moderate work direction, and can identify issues/problems but may need assistance in resolving.
• Worker will operate production machines to perform operations or produce parts.
• Sets up machines, loads raw material into machines, manually operates machines, and unloads finished product from machine.
• Works from written or verbal instructions and general operating procedures, which requires the application of some judgment and selectivity.
• Operator has control over product quality.

Education/Experience

• Flexibility with shift work.
• Good mechanical aptitude and skills are required.
• Basic data entry and computer proficiency preferred.
• Safety conscious, able to learn new tasks and take direction, work well as part of a team, ideally production and shift working experience.
• Similar manufacturing experience.
