Taylormade Employment are seeking a dedicated and skilled Machinery Operator to join one of our manufacturing companies based in the Market Weighton area.

This is a permanent direct role, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.30pm, with a salary of £31,616 per year.

You will bring hands-on experience with fabrication tools, CNC and press brake machinery, and be responsible for setup, operation and routine maintenance to support efficient production.

Qualifications

• Experience operating industrial machinery in fabrication environments.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to set up and adjust equipment.
• Basic maths for measurements and quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor machinery (press brakes, CNC equipment) to produce components.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot controllers and mechanical systems.
• Handle materials: loading, unloading, and organising in warehouse.
• Utilise hand tools and welding equipment for assembly and repairs.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean workspace.
• Assist in tooling setups and process adjustments for accuracy.

As a Machinery Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining equipment to ensure efficient production processes. Duties

• Operate and monitor machinery such as press brake machines, CNC equipment, and other fabrication tools to produce high-quality components.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting controllers and mechanical systems to minimise downtime.
• Handle materials efficiently, including loading, unloading, and organising raw materials and finished products within the warehouse environment.
• Utilise hand tools and welding equipment for assembly, repairs, and modifications of machinery parts or fabricated components.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean workspace to adhere to health regulations and ensure a safe working environment.
• Assist in the development of tooling setups and adjustments to optimise manufacturing processes for accuracy and efficiency.

• Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in milling, welding, assembly, and materials handling.
• Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality control assessments.
