People Solutions are recruiting for a Machine Operator / Machinist in Wednesbury, West Midlands. The role offers progression opportunities and a stable business.

Shifts run 6:00am–2:00pm and 2:00pm–10:00pm on a rotating weekly basis, with a pay rate of £12.71 per hour. Ongoing training and development are provided to grow with the company.

Machine Operator / Machinist

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Machine Operatorto join our well-established client based in Wednesbury, West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity offering an excellent salary and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.

Our client is initially looking for a machine operator on the shop floor, producing small and large one-off components. They are willing to invest in candidates who have strong foundational knowledge of machine operating. Experienceis preferred.

This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a Machine Operator, CNC Operator, Machine Minder.

Shifts:6:00am - 2.00pm & 2.00pm - 10.00pm - Rotating Weekly

Rates of Pay:£12.71 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

As a Machinist, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Operating machines to produce precision components
• Performing fabrication and milling tasks where required
• Reading and accurately interpreting technical drawings
• Programming and operating machinery
• Carrying out routine machine maintenance
• Troubleshooting and resolving production issues
• Maintaining accurate production and material records
• Applying mathematical calculations for measurements and tolerances

Essential Skills

To be successful as a Machinist, you will need:

• Proven experience operating machines
• Strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills
• Experience with tooling, materials handling, and hand tools
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
