Job summary

Pro-Found Recruitment Solutions in Barnsley is recruiting a Machine Operator for a 3-shift rotation (days 6am-2pm, afternoons 2pm-10pm, nights 10pm-6am). This temporary role offers weekly pay and a pathway to permanent employment subject to performance.

You will operate and load machinery, perform quality checks on wood worktops, and work both independently and as part of a team. CNC or machine-operating experience is essential, with a strong work ethic and reliability expected.

Qualifications

• Hard working, reliable and punctual.
• Experience in joinery/carpentry preferred but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail and following instructions.

Pro-Found Recruitment are recruiting for a Machine Operator working on a 3 shift rotation for our client based in Grimethorpe, Barnsley, S72.

• Rotating over 3 shifts - Days 6am to 2pm, Afters 2pm to 10pm and Nights 10pm to 6am - these shifts rotate each week so you must be able to work all 3 shifts
• Hours: 39 hours per week paid weekly
• Start date: Monday 24tth August 2026
• Pay Rates: £16.36 for days and afters & £17.36 for nights
• Contract: Temporary to Permanent subject to performance and attendance

Machine Operator Duties:

• Operating and loading machinery
• Quality checking of materials and finished products
• Working with wood and heavy worktops
• Following instructions
• Working on your own and as part of a team
• Minimum daily requirements (production targets)

Machine Operator Criteria:

• CNC or machine operating experience essential
• Able to work 3 rotating shifts - days, afters & nights
• Hard working, reliable and punctual
• Experience of joinery/carpentry preferred but not essential
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions
• Good work ethic and prepared to learn new skills
