Job summary

Pro-Found Recruitment are recruiting a Machine Operator for a 3-shift rotation role based in Grimethorpe, Barnsley, S72. The position is temporary to permanent subject to performance and attendance, with pay set per shift.

Shifts rotate weekly: days 6am–2pm, afternoons 2pm–10pm, nights 10pm–6am, 39 hours per week, pay £16.36–£17.36 depending on shift. Immediate start available for suitable candidates.

Qualifications

• Previous assembly/production/manufacturing experience essential.
• CNC or machine operating experience essential.
• Able to work 3 rotating shifts - days, afters & nights.
• Hard working, reliable and punctual.

Pro-Found Recruitment are recruiting for a Machine Operator working on a 3 shift rotation for our client based in Grimethorpe, Barnsley, S72.

Machine Operator Benefits:

• Rotating over 3 shifts - Days 6am to 2pm, Afters 2pm to 10pm and Nights 10pm to 6am - these shifts rotate each week so you must be able to work all 3 shifts
• Hours: 39 hours per week paid weekly
• Start date: Monday 24tth August 2026
• Pay Rates: £16.36 for days and afters & £17.36 for nights
• Contract: Temporary to Permanent subject to performance and attendance
• Location: Grimethorpe, Barnsley, S72

Machine Operator Duties:

• Working on line automation
• Operating and loading machinery
• Quality checking of materials and finished products
• Working with wood and heavy worktops
• Following instructions
• General Housekeeping
• Working on your own and as part of a team
• Minimum daily requirements (production targets)

Machine Operator Criteria:

• Previous assembly/production/manufacturing experience essential
• CNC or machine operating experience essential
• Able to work 3 rotating shifts - days, afters & nights
• Hard working, reliable and punctual
• Experience of joinery/carpentry preferred but not essential
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions
• Good work ethic and prepared to learn new skills

Please note this is a very physically demanding role and requires regular manual handling as part of the day to day duties
