Job summary

Natures Way Foods is hiring a proactive Machine Operator for nights, days, or rotational shifts at our Chichester/Selsey sites. You will oversee production machinery, ensure timely customer orders, and uphold safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll work a 14-day pattern over 28 days on fixed days/nights or rotating shifts, with training support and a competitive salary plus shift allowances and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Operating of specialised production machinery, ensuring each machine is running effectively and safely at all times.
• Supervising Production Operatives and agency staff working on site.
• Ensuring Health & Safety guidelines/procedures are being adhered to at all times, reporting near misses & any accidents or incidents when they occur.
• Ensuring our customer orders are met to our high standards of quality.
• Reporting any Out of Spec Products/Machinery issues/Non-Conformances to Line Manager promptly.

We’re looking for a proactive and driven Machine Operator to join our fast-paced team at Natures Way Foods. In this hands-on role, you’ll be at the heart of our production process—ensuring our machinery runs smoothly, customer orders are met to high standards, and safety always comes first.

Shift pattern

Fixed Days or Nights (7am–7pm / 7pm–7am)

At some sites, we operate fixed day or fixed night shifts. You will work14 days across a 28-day period, following this typical pattern:

• Week 1:Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday
• Week 2:Wednesday & Thursday

Rotational Days and Nights (7am–7pm / 7pm–7am)

At other sites, shifts rotate between days and nights. You will again work14 days across a 28-day period, following the same pattern:

• Week 1:Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday
• Week 2:Wednesday & Thursday

Monday–Thursday Night Shifts (Merston site only)

We also offer aMonday to Thursday night shift patternat our Merston site.
