Job description

Focused Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of our client who are a well known, successful manufacturing company within the Blackwood area who are seeking a Production Machine Operator to join their team.

Hours of work:

Initially working on a 2 shift rotating pattern Monday - Friday. No weekends & overtime also available.

• Day shift - 06:00am - 14:00pm
• Afternoon shift - 14:00pm - 22:00pm

Pay: £13.02 - £14.01 per hour

Duties of the role:

• Operating a range of production machinery & equipment.
• Working toward daily/ weekly production targets & KPI’s.
• Set production machinery and run production change over.
• Proficiently use Micrometers, Vernier’s, and Dial Test Indicators; previous experience would be an advantage however not essential.
• Assess quality of finished product.
• Monitoring / overseeing full production process from start to finish.
• Wrapping, banding and palletising of finalised product.

The desired candidates:

• Able to work to targets/production KPI’s & production schedules.
• Be able to work as part of a team.
• Previous relevant manufacturing /production experience.
• Knowledge of health and safety in the work place.
