At DS Smith Fordham, we are looking to hire several Operatives to work in the Conversion department and assist with the day-to-day running of our machines.

About the role

As a valued team member, you will play a vital role in supporting the Operator in setting and running machines. You will assist in achieving quality standards on all work produced and delight our customers by producing high-quality products in a timely manner. We work together to ensure that our work is technically correct and that the right processes are followed to meet customer requirements.

Health & Safety is our top priority. An important part of the role is to work in line with all current policies and procedures to ensure safety for yourself and your colleagues.

You will report directly to the Shift Team Leader but will work closely with the Operators on various machines to receive training and become a successful Assistant Operator.

• Work in line with DS Smith standards at all times, including but not limited to Health & Safety and Quality.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work well within a team.
