Here at Wisbech, we have a team of 525 colleagues and manufacture premium chilled ready to cook meals for major retailers such as Sainsbury's, Aldi and Co-op.

What you'll be doing

Machine Operative - 4on 4off 06:00-18:00

Pay Rate: £13.32 per hour (plus overtime outside of normal shift pattern)

We are currently looking for a Machine Operative to work in our Greencore factory in Wisbech (PE13 2RD).

We are looking for individuals who relish the opportunity to work as part of a team in a factory environment. Our environments can be busy, cold and wet, but your safety comes first, and all personal protective equipment will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Take care of all machine-specific functions such as configuring the equipment, loading and operating the machines, and optimizing the machine capability.
• Ensure that the machine works at its full capacity, oversee its maintenance, and perform timely quality checks.
• Be a self-starter and be willing to undergo training to understand the operations of new equipment.

What we're looking for

• Prior experience as a machine operator.
• Strong knowledge of heavy duty and high-speed machinery.
• Strong ability to use measurement tools.
• Good understanding of production procedures and best practices.
• Excellent knowledge of safety methods and hazard regulations.
• Ability to read manuals, blueprints, and handbooks.
• Good physical stamina and keen attention to detail.
