Job summary

Nylacast Engineered Products Ltd is seeking a Machine Operative to join our Leicester manufacturing site. You will operate machine tools, read engineering drawings, inspect finished parts and ensure products meet quality standards.

Shifts are 06:00–14:00 and 14:00–22:00 on a rotating weekly basis, with a daily break. The role requires reliable, hardworking individuals familiar with CNC machines and measurement equipment.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Carry out quality inspections and identify defects.
• Strive to meet daily production targets and maintain quality.

Responsibilities

• Operate & Set Machine Tools.
• Ability to understand technical drawings.
• Check & examine products.
• Correctly and accurately use handheld measuring equipment.
• Identify quality issues.
• Hit daily production targets.
• Keep machine/workstation tidy and free from slips, trips and falls.
• Act professionally in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Machine Operative

Reporting to:

Production Manager

Location

The role will be based at our manufacturing Site in Leicester.

Hours

Monday to Friday, 06:00 to 14:00 & 14:00 to 22:00, rotating weekly with a daily break

(Double Day Shift)

The Role

The successful applicants will effectively and efficiently operate machine tools, ensuring the company's product lines conform to quality standards and in accordance with the specified Engineering Drawing, whilst maintaining daily production targets.

Experience & Requirements
