The Nylacast Engineered Products Ltd site in Leicester is seeking a diligent Machine Operative to operate and set machine tools, read engineering drawings and inspect finished parts to required quality standards. You will work on a double day shift, with rotating hours, and contribute to meeting daily production targets while maintaining clean, safe workstations.

Full training will be provided; a reliable, hardworking attitude and ability to work with minimal supervision are important for

• Understand and interpret engineering drawings.

Machine Operative

Reporting to: | Production Manager

Location | The role will be based at our manufacturing Site in Leicester.

Hours | Monday to Friday, 06:00 to 14:00 & 14:00 to 22:00, rotating weekly with a daily break (Double Day Shift)

The Role

The successful applicants will effectively and efficiently operate machine tools, ensuring the company’s product lines conform to quality standards and in accordance with the specified Engineering Drawing, whilst maintaining daily production targets.

Experience & Requirements

• Operate & Set Machine Tools
• Ability to understand technical drawings
• Check & examine products
• Correctly and accurately use handheld measuring equipment
• Identify quality issues
• Hit daily production targets
• Keep Machine/workstation tidy and free from slips, trips and falls
• To act professionally in accordance with the company policies and procedures

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Be reliable and hard working and worked in a similar environment
• Be Familiar with CNC Machine Tools and Measuring Equipment
• Be able to read and interpret Engineering Drawings
• Be able to work with minimal supervision
• Full training will be given
